Sushi Counter at Yamazato
Yamazato, the epitome of Japanese fine dining, is thrilled to announce a significant enhancement to its culinary brigade with the arrival of the new specialty Japanese sushi chef, Chef Ikuma Sato. He joins our esteemed chefs, Chef Katsuji Kato, specialty teppanyaki chef, and Executive Chef Keiichiro Fujino, in our relentless pursuit to offer an unparalleled Japanese dining experience with a splash of Filipino touch that rivals the authenticity and quality of Japan itself.
Chef Sato’s odyssey with sushi began in April 2001, when he embraced the disciplined path of a sushi apprentice. His passion and dedication to the craft have taken him across the globe, from the vibrant sushi counters of Japan to the prestigious dining scenes of Switzerland, Europe, and Hong Kong. While his expertise encompasses a broad spectrum of Japanese culinary arts, including Teppanyaki, Tempura, and kaiseki courses, it is the art of sushi that has captured his heart and defined his career.
From Thursday to Sunday, Chef Sato will take the helm of our sushi bar, serving both lunch and dinner. Patrons will have the privilege to savor his renowned tuna nigiri sushi among other exquisite creations, witnessing the finesse and passion that define his craft.
The sushi counter at Yamazato features edomae-style sushi headed by our Japanese specialty sushi chef, Chef Ikuma Sato. Indulge in your favorite sushi with fresh and seasonal ingredients imported directly from Japan's finest prefectures.
